Katie Whelan
Katie Whelan is a filmmaker from Bethesda, Maryland. Since attending the Rhode Island School of Design, she has put her deep-seated interest in film and animation to practice. Katie gravitates towards stop-motion and traditional hand-drawn animation, meeting the two in the middle with digital compositing. The beginning of her storytelling process is typically inspiration drawn from the shapes and objects she notices around her; there will always be something that requests to be explored.
